Solid State Power Amplifier Drivers - Linear SSPA Drivers:
This new line of linear SSPA drivers, consists of three models covering all of the common satellite communication bands, AMFLD-05700850-60-16P for C-/X-Band, AMFLD-12501850-60-18P for Ku-/DBS-Band, and AMFLD-27003100-60-12P for Ka-Band.  All three models have a common outline of 3.7” x 2.5” x 0.73”, SMA connectors for RF I/O and a multi-pin connector for supply, controls and detector output. 

The linear drivers have a typical gain of 25 dB flat to within 1 dB, P1dB of 16 dBm and output IP3 of 26 dBm.  Power monitor DC output and gain are well compensated, allowing for a compliant temperature range of –25 to +80 Degrees.  Also incorporated is 30 dB of linear gain control.  Drivers have a noise figure of less than 6dB, operate from a single 15V supply and draw 400 mA typical.

Model AMF-5B-09001050-40-39P provides 7 Watts of X-band power. and a has an output P1dB of about 39 dBm from 9 to10.5 GHz and 38 dBm from 7.5 to 11 GHz. Gain is 36 dB minimum, ± 1 dB flat, and typical noise figure is 3.5 dB. This model operates from -10 to +60 ° C base temperature range and draws about 4A from 15 V. Broadband Power Amplifier
Model AMF-2B-00030300-150-32P is a 2W amplifier, offering 20 dB of gain from 30 MHz to 3 GHz.  The 24V voltage required is also internally gated by the external -5V to minimize any chance of damage. Very compact, 2 inch by 2 inch by 0.5 inch, housing has two SMA connectors and can be bolted on a heat sink. It draws 600 mA maximum and has a typical noise figure of about 8 dB and an input match of 1.5:1 maximum. Unit is available as RoHS compliant, please contact MITEQ.

Model AMF-4B-26003100-100-36P is a connectorized high-power amplifier/module, covering 26-31 GHz and delivering approximately 5W of power. The Female K-type connectorized aluminum housing is 10mm (H) x 25mm (L) x 34mm (W).   It is intended for bolting to a flat cooling surface or fins.   Housing is environmentally sealed and EMI shielded. Hermetic sealing option is also available. Nominal small-signal gain is near 18 dB.   Current draw is nominally 7A at P1dB from 6-6.5 VDC of supply and -1.25 VDC. 43.5-45.5 GHz Waveguide Amplifier
Model AMFWW-10F-43504550-50-25P has 35 dB minimum gain over the full band, with a minimum P1dB of 25 dBm. Typical noise figure is 5 dB. UG383/U waveguide input and output ports have a low VSWR of 1.5:1. It typically draws 1A from a 15V supply. Picture shown does not include isolators.

This amplifier has built in regulation, reverse bias protection and TTL control is optional.  It includes a custom heat sink that can be removed.  Other models from 15 dBm to 30 dBm are also available. Unit is available as RoHS compliant, please contact MITEQ.

Q-Band Waveguide Limiter LNA
Model AMFW-5F-033004000-50-10P-4WL is a very low noise Q-Band waveguide front end.  WR-28 waveguide input and output amplifier is very lightweight and has an extremely small profile and footprint.  Aluminum alloy housing is environmentally sealed and EMI shielded.  Hermetic sealing option is also available.  LNA includes reverse voltage, over current and over temperature protection, in addition to full internal regulation.

This amplifier is capable of a minimum of 10 dBm of P1dB across the full band, 33-40 GHz.  Built-in limiter can prevent damage from up to 5W of CW input. Port VSWR is a maximum of 2.5:1 but typically 2:1 or less.  Nominal small-signal gain is minimum 18 dB and maximum of 22 dB while the noise figure is less than 5 dB.  Gain flatness is 2 dB peak-to-peak typical.  Current draw is nominally 165 mA from a single positive 15V supply. 8-18 GHz Broadband High Power Amplifier
Model AMF-2B-08001800-65-35P is a connectorized high power amplifier, covering octave bandwidth from 8-18 GHz and delivering approximately 3W of power and 2.5W from 6-18 GHz.  In the band of 10-15 GHz, it delivers about 7W of P1dB.  The SMA connectorized aluminum housing is 21mm (H) x 95mm (L) x 66mm (W).  It is intended for bolting to a flat cooling surface or fins.  Housing is environmentally sealed, EMI shielded and hermetic sealing option is also available.  Power Amplifier includes reverse voltage protection, in addition to full internal regulation.  A TTL-control pin is optional.

Nominal small-signal gain is 50 dB while noise figure is better than 5 dB across the band.  Current draw is nominally 6.2A at P1dB from 12 to 15 VDC of supply.  Output IP3 is a minimum of 44 dBm across the full band, closer to 47 dBm from 10–15 GHz. Millimeter Wave Quad Phase Modulator

X6 Multiplier
MITEQ introduces two more models into their multiplier family of products.  Model SYS6X0639 is an X6 multiplier that accepts inputs from 6.375 to 6.566 MHz at 10 dBm and produces outputs from 38.250 to 39.400 MHz at 5 dBm.  Input harmonic rejection is –70 dBc minimum and the unit includes integrated printed filters.  The SYS6X0639 measures 1.280” x 1.200” x 0.275”.

Frequency Quadrupler
Model SYS4X0520 is a frequency quadrupler that produces a 20 GHz, 10 dBm signal for an input of 12 dBm at 5 GHz.  This multiplier also features high rejection to input harmonics by using printed ceramic filters to achieve –80 dBc or better suppression of odd harmonics and –70 dBc or better for even harmonics.  The SYS4X0520 measures 1.280” x 1.200” x 0.270” without connectors.  Both multipliers are supplied with field replaceable SMA female input and male output K-connectors, require +15V at 130 mA, -15V at 10 mA and are supplied in hermetic housings.

BTE Series - Frequency Synthesizers
MITEQ introduces the BTE Synthesizer Series which are designed to meet the most demanding phase noise requirements.  The BTE Series can meet the most stringent phase noise requirements from S- through Ku-Band.  The BTE Ku-Band noise performance is over 20 dB below Intelsat IESS 308/309 with over 2 GHz of tuning bandwidth and 1 kHz step size.  This series is also available with a fixed second LO output option which also maintains the low noise of the main output in dual conversion systems.  Fixed LO can be tuned to alternate frequency via communication interface.  The BTE is packaged to meet extremely low EMI emission requirements and has options for parallel or serial communications and control.

SLFS Series - Frequency Synthesizers
MITEQ introduces the SLFS Synthesizer Series that offers a compact and economical solution for SATCOM and VHF Ku-Band microwave communication systems.  The SLFS can be controlled with any notebook or desktop PC with a user friendly Graphic User Interface available as a download from the MITEQ website.  This series is available in VHF through Ku-Band with typical bandwidths of 800 MHz, with an efficient design that dissipates only 2.5 Watts.  The SLFS is available in wider bandwidths and custom step sizes as required. 

Package size is modular, 2.25” x 2.25” x 0.6”, SMA input and output with 7 PIN JST interface connector.

Beacon Receiver
MITEQ’s BR Series Beacon Receiver is a versatile receiver designed to lock onto a CW or modulated carrier and provide accurate and reliable relative power measurement indicators for either antenna positioning or uplink power control applications.

The BR-L operates in the L-Band and accepts a 940-2150 MHz signal.  The outputs of the beacon receiver are analog and digital indicators of power measured at the input of the beacon receiver.  The beacon receiver fits neatly into a single EIA standard rack height (1.75 inches).

The rich feature set of controls and indicators are easily accessible via in intuitive operating environment.  The receiver can be setup completely from the front panel or over a remote bus via  a host computer.  There are 32 memory locations where various setups can be stored and recalled easily.  Also, a log is continuously updated with time-stamped records of alarm activity.

Uplink Power Control System
The MITEQ Uplink Power Control Unit product line now expands to include the UPC-L version. The UPC-L offers the Earth station operator/designer control of the full L-band bandwidth of 950-2150 MHz. The UPC-L RF Signal path utilizes internal bias tees and diplexers on the center conductor to provide both DC and 10 MHz through path in the attenuator. This allows the user to pass the 10 MHz reference signal and DC bias from a modem through the UPC-L out to a block upconverter.

These units can be delivered within 45 days, in small quantities.

Switchable Band Test Loop Translator
MITEQ introduces the new Switchable Band Test Loop Translator product line.  These units are designed to translate the C-, X- and Ku-Band transmit bands to their respective receive frequency bands.  The units feature minimum amplitude and delay distortion, high frequency stability, low intermodulation and phase noise contribution.  The units are available with 10/100 Base-T Ethernet and RS485/422 remote interfaces.  This unit series replaces the 8600 series of Switchable Band Test Loop Translators.

MT7100 Dual-Drawer TWTA
MCL introduces the MT7100 Traveling Wave Tube Amplifier consisting of two drawers – an RF drawer and a power supply drawer that are designed to fit into a standard 19” wide cabinet. This TWTA is available for C- and X-Band applications from 2.2 to 2.5kW, as well as Dual-Band (C/X) applications. Some features include an event log screen, continuous attenuator adjustment in dB, and an internal control bus consisting of high priority parallel signals and lower priority serial (RS485) bus communications. This unit can also be customized to include such options as manual override, manual attenuator, internal linearizer or block upconverter with L-Band input. Redundancy can be achieved through 1:1; 1:2 or phase combined systems.
