MITEQ's heavy emphasis on internal R&D throughout its history has lead to the creation of a company with the ability to adapt quickly to the changing needs of the customer and market while at the same time offering competitive prices and fast turnaround times.

MITEQ's total in-house microwave component design capability allows us to serve and satisfy our customer's needs expeditiously with single-function components or multifunction assemblies.

Most of the multifunction assemblies are designed to unique customer requirements. A multifunction assembly is more compact, smaller in size and lighter in weight than a structure consisting of discrete system building blocks. In addition, a purchased multifunction assembly normally has all of the system interface problems solved at the manufacturing level, and the input/output performance will conform to design specifications when installed at the next level of system integration.

Serving both the Military and Commercial Markets, MITEQ designs and manufactures standard and customized satellite communication equipment.
Frequency Converters
Amplifiers MITEQ manufactures a complete line of up- and downconverters that cover standard communications bands for both the Commercial and Military Markets.
Translators
Translators MITEQ's test translators are designed to translate the C-,X-, Ku- and Ka-band satellite communications frequency transmit bands to their respective receive bands. We offers units for both rack mount as well as portable satellite test translation.
Redundant Switchover Units
Redundant Switchover Units/ 1:1, 1:2 and 1:N Redundant Switchover Units are designed to improve reliability and increase the availability of satellite links. MITEQ offers a complete line of Redundant Switchover Systems that can monitor and control up to twelve primary frequency converters and one backup frequency converter.

MITEQ's Redundant Switchover Units are available for both indoor or outdoor applications.
Equalizers
Amplifiers MITEQ's variable group delay and amplitude slope equalizers are designed to compensate for the nonlinear delay distortion and amplitude slope introduced by the various components and sub-systems of the satellite earth station.

These SATCOM Equalizer Products are offered in single, dual, 1:1 and 1:N system configurations.

Uplink Power Control
Amplifiers MITEQ's offers Uplink Power Control Systems that are selfcontained, rack-mountable and designed for geostationary satellite communication systems. These uplink power control systems adjust the strength of uplink signals at IF frequencies to compensate for varying weather conditions.
Beacon Receiver
Amplifiers MITEQ's BR Series Beacon Receiver is a versatile receiver designed to lock onto a CW or modulated carrier and provide accurate and reliable relative power measurement indicators for either antenna positioning or uplink power control applications.

INMARSAT
Amplifiers MITEQ's INMARSAT product line includes: Pilot Receivers, C- and L-Band Converters, C- and L-Band Translators, and C- and L-Band Pilot Generators. These products are designed to operate in INMARSAT satellite communication terminals.

Custom Products MITEQ's comprehensive engineering and technology base in the RF, analog, digital and microprocessor fields give us the ability to custom engineer and manufacture both Semi-custom and custom products and systems. Semi-Custom Engineered Products: Modification of, or adaptation of, standard catalog units to meet particular customer specifications Custom Engineered Products: New designs specific to customer requirements There are three overall aspects, which define MITEQ's Custom Equipment: Equipment Type, Performance Characteristics, and Package Type. OEM, private or special labeling can be provided on any MITEQ product.

For many years MITEQ's primary area of expertise for space products was in low-noise amplifiers. However, MITEQ has been able to provide a wide spectrum of products and designs by utilizing mature technology delivered on other high-reliability programs. With our extensive space experience, we have been able to use qualification data from our existing designs while delivering custom-engineered units, thereby offering reduced cost and shorter delivery times to our customers. Custom MITEQ maintains dedicated engineering resources to modify our standard designs in support of custom-generated specifications.
This can include new design efforts, modifications to existing designs for performance and mechanical needs, as well as additional testing and environmental screening.

MANUFACTURING AND DESIGN CAPABILITIES

MITEQ's state-of-the-art facilities presently consist of four adjacent buildings totaling 215,000 square feet. In addition to housing separate engineering and manufacturing groups, MITEQ prides itself on its support groups including: drafting, which uses the latest commercial CADD and proprietary software programs; and an extensive machine shop, which includes top-of-the-line numerically-controlled Okuma, Mitsui, Seiki and Matsuura vertical machines capable of machining to the tightest of tolerances, guaranteeing repeated accuracy and reliability. MITEQ has five Class 100,000 and two Class 10,000 clean rooms in order to support our high reliability space and military projects. To accomplish the engineering, manufacturing and testing of MITEQ's components and assemblies, MITEQ invests heavily in capital equipment. This state-of-the-art equipment includes a wide array of vector network analyzers and synthesized sources, phase noise test sets, custom noise figure measuring equipment, glass furnace equipment to control the process of glass sealing, thermal/humidity chambers, and PIND and shock and vibration stations for environmental screening, to name just a few.
